Name Mike GorterAbout Since 2003, Mike Gorter has been immersed in and driven toward banking experience in graphic design for all sorts of clients in a variety of media. Back when he worked at Reeve Memorial Union in Oshkosh he designed a slew of concert and event posters as well as brochures and promotional swag for organizations from an art gallery to an outdoor adventure agency. He decided to take the big leap over to the world of Web in 2004 and found himself spending the next year and a half at Oracular, one of the Fox Valley's leading Information Technology and e-Business service companies, honing his online design chops, web strategy skills, and brand marketing savvy. Longing once again for the days of print, he joined the in-house creative team at ACP designing for products and brand names that keep the company growing at an impressive speed to this day. Brand management, product packaging, in-store sets, brochures, installation guides and yes, even still, a little web design—he's gotten his hands into it all. He's even made time to lend his services to the occasional freelance gig. No signs of slowing ahead. Look out. But why, you might be asking. What fuels Mike's relentless drive? Short answer: This world would be a much uglier place without good graphic design. Mike's here to help make sure that such a fate does not befall us, and he's quite happy to do so (it's also how he pays for food + shelter). |
